Most of the time, this blog is a way for us to share a glimpse of the weekly happenings on the farm. While the farm work does continue, our thoughts are with the Black Lives Movement and the protests that are happening outside of this bubble. We regret that we have not plainly stated our support before.
We stand with the Black community in demanding an end to police brutality toward them, as well as the systemic and environmental racism that is endemic in our country. The unequal deaths during the pandemic have laid even more clear the dire consequences of allowing this racism to continue. These inequalities have existed since the foundation of our country and we need to do the work to end them. We commit to doing this work ourselves and to support the Black organizers and other leaders of color.
To those in our community who are hurting, we are here. We are listening.
